twilight

i realize that i'm the last person on earth to catch a ride on the "twilight" train, but it's better late than never, right?

everyone and their mom has told me to read the twilight books. and out of nowhere the other day, i figured i'd better start! well, i knew the movie was coming out soon and i wanted to read the book first. so 2 days ago, i bought twilight. and um, i finished it yesterday. have i mentioned that i'm already over half way done with the second book? speaking of the second book **spoiler alert- must highlight to read**
OMFG- the second book is killing me. i HATE HATE HATE that edward is gone. it hurts me physically to read this book. like i am in pain for this stupid girl having to go on without him there. and you know damn well he loves her and only left to protect her, BUT I DON'T CARE! i find myself flipping the pages like mad until i can finally get to the part where he is back in her life. cause dammit, that part HAS to be coming!!!!! but this book is hurting me. physically. i have a problem. lol
**end spoiler**

i have a problem when it comes to books. i get so fucking involved in them, i literally can.not.put.them.down. this book is definitely not written for mature adults *ahem* so naturally, i love it. it's so buffy and angel that i can't help but love it. well, minus the whole she's a vampire slayer part. i think there is something about a forbidden love- or a love that isn't supposed to happen, but you can't deny it, fight it, or run from it, that just gets me. i guess i just love a good love story. or a defiant love story. or a story that hints at past lives and people who are "supposed" to be together no matter what. you know? so yeah, i'm on the second book and then i have 2 more to go!

anyway, now i'm psyched for the movie!!! i'm so happy i started reading these books right before the movie is coming out cause i'm all about instant gratification. i don't have to wait long and all you other bitches who read these books years ago have probably been dying waiting. ha!

to everyone who tried to get me to read these books in the past, and i didn't listen because - i dunno, i'm stubborn like that- you were right. they're awesome. i love them!

Welcome aboard the twilight bandwagon. I started reading these three weeks ago and I am on the last book now. It kills me that there are no more!!! The second book totally pissed me off too. I put it down for a week when Edward left. I was so heartbroken and angry! If you want to know something really kind of embarrasing email me. There are others...

I haven't read them yet but, coincidentally, I went looking for "Twilight" at Target yesterday and they were out. Seems everyone has the same idea. :(

I'm the last person to jump on this train. My sister bought all the books and loved them. I'm not sure if I'll like them. Maybe I might. But I have a skyscraper's height of books on my desk I need to read!

EDWAAAAARRRRDDDDD!!!

Never read them (and they don't seem geared towards men anyway) but your reaction to them seems similar to that of most that have. Enjoy!

I bought the first one on CD to listen to while on the plane on my recent trip to China, but I kept falling asleep and missing huge chunks, so I have to start it over. I hope to have it finished before the movie comes out, since everyone I know if going to try to go the night it opens.

Welcome to the craziness :o) I love those books, I even read her draft of the 5th book on her website. The movie is going to be AWESOME!

See, I have a problem reading bandwagon books. Like, the only reason I'd read them would be because everyone else did. I'm not saying they're bad books at all, they're probably great! But I just can't do it (Harry Potter too).

Also, the heart throb from the movie was on this celebrity blog site I'm addicted to and he had giant put stains on the red carpet.

I read the twilight series in September, and really enjoyed it. If you enjoy vampire books, check out the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward... Edward Cullen is nothing compared to Zsadist, Vishous, and Rhage - true story. ;)

You'll get your life back in a few days, when you finish Breaking Dawn!!! LOL!

I'm glad you got on the bandwagon (finally) it really is an awesome story and I can't wait for the movie either!

ps - You see, I went to junior college in Port Angeles, just down the road from Forks, so I was TOTALLY into these books, for obvious reasons! :)

You know...if you were to sprinkle your fairy fun to FL for the premiere, you could attend with me and Izzy and Britt and Shari...just saying.

Tampa is where all the BEST addicts hang. That's how we roll.

you aren't the last one - I haven't read any of the books yet - although I've heard such great things about them and WANT to... I just haven't been to a library or bookstore in ages... and all my $$ is going toward baby stuff anyway... I'm hoping to read them though soon, as EVERYONE I know has read them and loves them... so I think I'M the last person to jump on this particular bandwagon :) Hopefully I'll be on it soon though!

You may be happier if you don't read book 4 and pretend like it was never written. I know that you can't do that, but just brace yourself for some serious disappointment in Breaking Dawn.

Just sayin'

I think everyone felt that way about the spoiler! It was very visceral.

I'm on the third one and I started to lose interest. I think I may try to finish it up.

It is addicting, isn't it?

andie- i feel like i really appreciated the third one once it was done...... it deals with A LOT of things. i liked it.

the fourth book so far is good.. i am liking it. it's split into three parts- bella's version.. then a jacob version.. then another bella. i'm about halfway through jacob's story.

OMG, I cried in the second book when Edward left. What is wrong with me?

The third was my favorite and the fourth was kind of stupid. She wrapped it up too neatly for my liking.

Make sure to go to her website and read the partial version of Midnight Sun, which is the 5th book that someone leaked online. It is the first book through Edward's eyes. SO GOOD!

everyone- EDWARD IS FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. at least he was in the books. i want one for the holiday's. lol

here's to hoping they don't fuck up the movie and make it suck.

2nd book was the hardest to read still... third book was good and the fourth book was HARD to get through. it started to get boring, even though TONS of things were happening, i found it disinteresting and somewhat boring. i dunno.... weird right?

kristabella- i read midnight sun right after twilight. that shit was brilliant. loved it!
