just 1 more thing to freak out about

you know, it hadn't even crossed my mind to be concerned about the weather for the WEDDING OF THE YEAR!.. i just figured- it's late june so it will be fine!

just fine.

these are live pictures from tahoe YESTERDAY AFTERNOON!

have i mentioned how much i loathe being cold? how i'm getting married in fucking JUNE for a reason (no snow, not cold, almost summer)??? if it snows on my wedding day, i might just die. no really. drop dead right there on the freaking cement aisle.

i don't want to worry about the weather. truly, i don't. i realize that i can't control it, but COME ON. snow in june?!?!??! why does tahoe hate me?? so help me god, i will be out there with a freaking blowdryer melting all the snow at the ceremony site if i have to.

Jenn,
Last year my husband and I spent our 30th anniversary in Tahoe in late May through the first of June. We arrived in Reno and drove to Incline Village in 27 degree temps and what seemed to me a blizzard (we left Atlanta that a.m. where it was already 85 at 10:00 in the morning!) However, the very next week, some friends of ours were in Tahoe and the weather was gorgeous. Take heart--things will work out fine and 30 years from now, you and your husband can celebrate your anniversary in Tahoe snuggled up by the fire--IN JUNE! Best wishes.

How close is the wedding? Days or weeks?

Eeeeeeeeeeeek. I would die too.

That's why I got married in Napa Ca. No rain or snow there in August, but I could always have an earthquake or two...

That so sucks. But you know, it could be nice tomorrow up there. I'm sure it will be sunny and warm for your wedding. I'll bet that was the last snow.

And if not and you use a blowdryer on the snow, please have someone film it okay?

Call Al Gore. He'll get the heat turned up out there immediately for you.

Snow in June? Good grief!!! That goes against all of his theories about global warming.

How on earth is Vancouver having better weather than that?! I got a sunburn last weekend!

Don't worry, when you walk down the aisle the clouds will part, the sun will shine and melt all the snow. Instantly! It will be magical!

It wont snow. I have no idea when your actual wedding date it, but I'm sure it will be a lovely sunny day. I have no reason to think this other than, well, I just hope it does :)

Either way, it will be a beautiful day for many reasons - mainly because it's your wedding day!

That said, it poured on my wedding day. We had to go with plan B that included a very large (and very expensive) tent complete with lights and room for LOTS of people. It rained so hard you can hardly hear my vows on the video. But yeah, I had so much fun anyway. Nothing a big tent and a couple bottles of wine can't fix :)

they say rain is good luck on your wedding day, so snow must be tremendous good luck (think positive woman)!!

Ah, yes, global warming. Gotta love it!

(It won't be snowing in Tahoe in SIXTEEN days, so relax. Promise, it won't.)

I got married june 21st (the official first day of summer). outside.
It rained and almost snowed.
Looking back, I LOVED it. The pictures look gorgeous! You wont even care if it were to snow. I promise!

Whatever happens, the wedding will be charming and fantastic. Just keep that in mind and, in true Jennster fashion, have fun!

Don't forget to put the swans in a lukewarm bath.

Snow? It's June, for the love of God! But don't worry. It's the Wedding of the Year, so it can't snow. It just can't.
