Hmmmm, maybe I'll get the online Monopoly game and when he's up, and I'm up, we can play!

My grandfather used to give me warm milk and toast before I went to bed. I was a terrible insomniac even back then. It doesn't work anymore though.

Maybe he's feeling the stress of the upcoming wedding as well?

My daughter just started sleep issues after 2 1/2 years of no issues at all. I am losing my mind!!!

I dont have much advice for you cause I am searching for advice myself. But you are not alone!

I don't know what you've tried already, but I've heard other people say the best thing to do is not interact with the child at all. (Maybe this is more for when they're babies, I don't know.) But, I guess that would mean, no talking, no movies/TV, no food, nothing fun....so they realize it isn't cool to be up and they're not getting any extra attention by doing so.

Does he like to read? Maybe keep a book with a little light by his bed and tell him if he can't sleep, to go ahead and read for awhile? Maybe that would put him to sleep.........

I have no idea and I'm sorry!! I know how much you love your sleep.

You could have called me... I have a kid with a cough.

Ryan hardly sleeps either. He has a reading lamp attached to his bunkbed shelf, and he reads until he falls asleep around ten, but then wakes up every morning around six and reads some more. I'm guessing Blake doesn't sleep and wants to be up with you and Boyfriend? Try suggesting that he has to stay in his room reading or playing quietly.

They make children's Nyquil now.

Okay, I am not suggesting drugging your child, I am just saying...

Wyatt went through a bad sleeping phase a couple of weeks ago. He took a few warm baths, drank milk and got back rubs a la mom. He's sleeping again...as for my toddler, well, we won't go there, I don't want to scare you into not having any more kids!!!

Hang in there!

What ddm said! We called it 'purple medicine" in the day.
Oh don't look at us like that. It didn't hurt my kids. I don't think. Ok, so social services has been to my home yet. How about that?

My son (turned three today) NEVER needs to sleep. I was like that as a child, but now that I am the mom it really stinks!

I feel your pain. I have no trouble falling asleep, I just can't stay asleep and I am losing my mind.

Just checking in after wayyyy to long and oy. I was called here for a reason.

I'm so sorry, bubulah. I can sympathize to no end. I was so sleep deprived for that first year that I don't know how I managed to retrieve words longer than one syllable. Have you picked up every book possible? Wish I could help, truly.

I'm confused.

Blake doesn't sleep? Is that what you're trying to say?
