hooray for christmas!

i know, it's not even halloween yet and i'm getting my panties in a wad about christmas!! but this morning as i was driving to work, drinking my chai tea latte from starbucks, i was consumed by an overwhelming feeling of giddiness about christmas!!!! i think it's because that chai tea tastes the way christmas smells. come on, i know that makes sense to someone! maybe there's cinnamon in it, or something- but i always think of christmastime smells when i drink that tea.

anyway, christmas. i love it so much! not the actual day, but more like the whole month of december. there is something about christmas that changes people. everyone seems more giving. happier. and it's just fun to be out and about because everything is decorated!! what other time of year does the entire freaking world decorate anything they can with holiday cheer? i love the feeling. i love everything about it (yes, even the cold). so yeah. that's it. christmas giddiness in october!

ps- i'll post the other recipes soon. they are delish! thank you to my good friend shawna who gave me all of the recipe's i'll be sharing with you. she's the best! :)

I love Christmas too. But I tend to not think about it until after Halloween and then it is fair game. I love the excitement and the parties and family gatherings and the food....ohhhh the food.

I'm such a Grinch. Not at all a Xmas fan. My mom, though? Loves it. Maybe you're her long lost daughter?

I do, though, love the fall and winter and all of the wonderful things they bring: soup, fuzzy socks, pretty colors, hot freakin' cocoa!, toasted marshmallows, bonfires, etc., etc., etc.!

I am all about Christmas! Especially when we get snow, which, isn't always actually.
I always get hubby to put up the lights right before Halloween 'so the kids can have better lighting to trick or treat' but really, I just love them!

Ooooh, I've been thinking about Christmas already too. I've already done some shopping and it was so fun! I can't wait to put up the tree, the lights, and all the decorations. Fun, especially when you have little ones around. :) I'm not surprised that you adore Christmas---your parent's house always looked like a freakin' Christmas shop with all the little Annalee (?) dolls everywhere. AND, even the doorbell chimed some Christmas song. For the love.

I think you may be my long lost very pretty twin. I am totally with you on the chai tasting like christmas smells. I have said that before and people look at me like I have two heads. I totally get it.

You know, even though my family has always had someone get sick around Christmas, I still can't help but get all giddy about the season! I probably just love the excuse to pig out and drink and not worry about it.

I know exactly what you mean...about all of it. I am so pumped about Christmas. Once is starts to cool off (and it did this week) I'm ready to start decorating. The Hubby always makes me wait until after Thanksgiving, but to annoy him I listen to Christmas CDs all. the. time! I'm glad I'm not the only one!

You crack me up. You are so much like my friend Lindsay. She's the kind of girl that if a dog pooped on her shoe, she'd still find something to be happy about. She'd be all "oh poop. Cool! I've been needing something to fertilize the lawn."

You, like her, have alot of enthusiasm. Your energy jumps out of the page, woman. I bet your coworkers don't even need caffeine when your around. They have YOU! (Hey, can you come to my house. I'm in NEED of some energy.)

It gives me great pleasure to share the magic of Christmas, as this is the most awaited holiday season of the year. Rather than being happy over a new born year, I usually end up spending all my energy imagining about yet another Christmas that I shall be celebrating in a better way than the one i did the previous year. Peep into this amazing Christmas Blog to check out some really cool stuffs and unique ideas

I absolutely LOVE Christmas too. My husband is praying that it doesn't snow this weekend cuz he's afraid I might just lose my mind and consider putting the tree up. And I'm with Ali...the day after Thanksgiving here there are 2 channels on the radio that play nothing but Xmas music. It gets everyone all in a huff and writing to the newspapers and such.

I say turn it if ya don't like it ya frickin SCROOGE!

But ahhh...I can't wait for the burning fireplace, fuzzy socks, Christmas music playing, making cookies, wrapping presents (which I really don't enjoy so much) and keeping the magic of Christmas alive for my kids.

Ok yeah, the trees goin up this weekend. LOL

Hi Jennster, I totally agree. I love that time of year. When Starbucks has the gingerbread latte, and everything is lit up and pretty and people are nice and eat sweets liberally. What's not to love?

And I'm Jewish.

Lisa

P.S. Thanks for the support on our site. Looks like I'm back either way.

Oooh, I love the month of December. I love decorating the house in the beginning of the month and getting to enjoy the holiday for days..

Haha! I have already posted about Christmas decorations. I was so excited about it this week that since today was Starbucks Friday, I got a peppermint latte just to continue the spirit. Who the hell cares that it is an unusual 75 degrees here today?

thats because Christmas is WONDERFUCKINGFUL!!! I love chai teas too-as long as its the cold ones. YUM
they need to make and sell chai tea scented candles ASAP.
I am always giddy for Christmas, even in July.

I LOVE Christmas too! I just started to get into the mood for it too, since I got back to Ohio from Dallas and it is so cold here and it freaking snowed today! I hate the thought of Christmas shopping, though--I never have good ideas of what to get people!
